Outsourcing & Facility Management benefits

Facility Management manages companies’ infrastructure, while the services-oriented approach handles its maintenance. Both make it possible to optimize resource management within organizations.

These are two different terms, but they point to the same thing: better management of companies’ operations, while also helping to reduce costs. On the one hand, Facility Management is a discipline responsible for managing companies’ infrastructure, from air-conditioning systems to door locks; while Facility Services is responsible for other types of functions, such as cleaning, security, gardening, and the maintenance of certain equipment.
Many companies still do not outsource their functions, but more and more are joining this trend—especially because of the benefits it generates. According to ISS Chile statistics, organizations that adopt this model manage to increase their efficiency by between 5% and 15%.
